Four years ago, our denomination's General Assembly overwhelmingly approved an overture to own, confess, and repent of racial sins in our denomination's past and present (click HERE to read the overture). Later that summer, DPC hosted a forum on "Southern Presbyterianism & Race" to provide historic context for the Assembly's decision. The forum was attended by both members and local leaders.

That same Assembly appointed a temporary committee to study the condition of our denomination in regard to racial reconciliation, and to report back to the Assembly. The committee did so two years later, in 2018 (to read the report, click HERE). In light of the relevance of this report for 2020's massive reconsideration of race and justice, DPC will host another Sunday night forum to distill the findings and recommendations in this report.
