FAQs

  • DPC has planted two churches in the last 8 years, Grace and Peace in the Poe Mill neighborhood and Resurrection in 29607. This next church plant will follow a similar plan to our first two, which is to send one of our current pastors (Chandler Machemehl) along with a group of individuals and families from DPC to start a new church in the downtown Greenville area.

  • We hope to be a community marked by the welcome of Jesus, celebrating the acceptance we’ve been given in Christ. In turn, we want to welcome anyone and everyone to join us as we follow him. In other words, we will celebrate the Good News of Jesus together, and welcome others to join us.

  • Those who long to see the Kingdom of God come in Greenville, who are captivated by the hope that folks who don’t currently have a church home would find one in our new community, and who are willing to invite and welcome their friends, neighbors, coworkers and acquaintances to join us as we follow our Good Shepherd. There will be lots to do - from music to nursery and everything in between - so lots of different people with lots of different gifts will be needed to fill all of these crucial roles.

  • There is no obligation to join the core group if you attend an interest meeting.

  • We’re aiming for northeast of downtown (in between 12 and 3 if Greenville were a clock), the closer to downtown the better. We want to be open-handed about location to provide flexibility to meet where space becomes available while trying to stay close to downtown.

  • Our hope is to begin gathering for weekly worship in early 2025.
